(West Chester, PA May 22, 2007) Stratus Communications announced today that they received two awards from the Philadelphia American Marketing Association. Stratus earned awards for Non-Profit Awareness and Independent Marketer of the Year was awarded to Stratus President, Renee T. Jones.
Through a team effort with The University of the Arts, Stratus was awarded the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Marketing Association’s “Marketer of the Year: Non-Profit Awareness” award. Entrants were required to “embody the soul of the organization, engage the audience and deliver the message clearly, concisely and effectively.”
The University of the Arts campaign was a research-based, customer-focused three-year marketing campaign that integrated all aspects of The UArts marketing programs including: print; radio; TV; website; web marketing website optimization; online marketing; search engine optimization; e-marketing; direct marketing; Special events; public relations.
The marketing campaign yielded an average 10% increase in enrollment over a three-year period with the 2006 enrollment being the highest ever. Enrollment Inquiries increased consistently over three years. Applications increased and online inquiries have increased by 300%. Attendance at Open House events doubled over the three years of the campaign. And recall on the brand is now significant, from a position of almost zero five years ago.

Stratus also announced that President, Renee T. Jones was awarded the coveted Individual Marketer of the Year Award. Awarded for key contributions to the Greater Philadelphia Corporate Community and a proven record as a role model for education, vision, leadership and decision making with exceptional performance and outstanding accomplishments in the field of marketing, the Marketer of the Year award is an honorable recognition from the marketing community.
Through her sincere dedication and tireless efforts, Ms Jones has made a lasting impression on the Marketing Community. She has been an active member of the Philadelphia, national and international marketing and business community for over 25 years. As international marketing director in Mexico City, she was one of the first women expatriates to serve a Fortune 500 company abroad – a true pioneer for women in international marketing. Ms. Jones is a regional business leader and entrepreneur with expertise in all areas of management, marketing and leadership in the corporate and advertising environments. She is currently President and Founder of an award-winning, successful marketing communications company and is a role model both as a woman in business, and as an active member of the Greater Philadelphia Corporate and Social Communities.
